I think I have the same problem at beta1. The server starts and afte a
while the screen switches to a resolution of 1024x768. I can switch to
tty1, but there is not login. There is nothing. I can type letters and I
see them, but there is no shell or anything else. And the network seems
to be up at that point, but ssh is not working.

I can hit ESC at grub und bott with init=/bin/bash and I figured out
that all my LVM volumes were missing. Does somebody else have the black
screen and using LVM?

If vgscan and vgchange -ay, it takes minutes till the cursor comes back.
And sometimes not all of the LVs are found, so I have to use lvchange on
single LVs. So my guess is the LVM is broken. But why is the screen
black then?

Is this a seperate bug or does it depend on it? I hope I understood the
original bug correctly. This shall not be a miss using bug report from
my side.
