Nico: When you are offered something like a partial upgrade, you _HAVE_ to look through and see what's being removed to verify it's OK. If you are unsure at all, then hold off on a partial upgrade and type "sudo apt-get upgrade" in your terminal and that will safely update your system as much as it can be.
