Unfortunately the latest plymouth still does not work for me. Here's what I see with --verbose:
4.1 - local-bottom and init-bottom begin and end 4.2 - forcedeth on ifname, highdma A bunch of init lines from mountall, hostname, plymouth, hwclock, ureadahead, with the last two: init: plymouth state changed from post-start to running init: Handling started event 6.8 - adding swap 7.3 EXT3 FS on sdb1 7.4 EXT4 FS on sde1 7.5 EXT4 FS on sdb3 8.2 EXT4 FS on sdc4 8.3 EXT3 FS on sdc1 8.7 EXT3 FS on sdc2 8.8 SCSI bus initialization 33.9 EXT4 FS on sda1 82.5 EXT3 FS on sdb2 After that, no more lines. Note the giant amount of time after the SCSI bus initialization and sda1, sdb2 being initialized. I don't recall where these are physically, but all of my drives are SATA, so I don't think anything special is happening. -- Lucid beta 1 won' t boot, plymouth launch broken https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/552046 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
