Sorry for taking time before anwsering, was really busy recently. I'm surprized by the 1/ is it reproduceable each time you boot the live? I don't really get it on my 3 machines? Considering the 2/ this is fixed in trunk. I'll roll a release tarball today, but it will only go into the ubuntu repo after beta2.
