Checking here, plymouth 0.8.1-2 is the version currently installed. As
you are probably aware I met it whilst fighting with bug #551263, and
was using "break=bottom" to try and discover what was going on before
the described crash when I realised the Enter key didn't work always.

I'll do an update later (I notice plymouth -3 is now available and try
to reproduce it.

Hardware here is NVidia GeForce Go 7600 in a Sony Vaio VGN FE41Z laptop.

With my workaround on that bug I've not experienced it again but then
again afer the amount of time it affected me I'm avoiding rebooting for
a while for fear of being locked out for several hours :)
