Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm
The gdm theme uses light gray panels and input boxes. However, the default Lucid theme is "Ambiance", a very dark theme. Seems very unprofessional that the panel colors in the logon screen do not match the panel colors in the "Ambiance" theme. It wouldn't be as shocking if the default theme were "Radiance". Personally, I would think the dark colors used by gdm in Karmic would be a closer fit, though they probably don't match "Ambiance".
