Public bug reported: Apologies for filing against 'ubuntu-desktop'. I am unsure what package contains the restricted driver applet. Please redirect as necessary.
After performing a clean installation, Ubuntu notifies me that "restricted drivers are available". I click the tray icon and am taken to the Hardware Drivers applet, which proudly displays "Proprietary drivers are being used to make this computer work properly". However, when I look at the details below, I can see that no restricted drivers are actually activated. Shouldn't that statement correctly reflect how my computer is currently configured? Perhaps, "Proprietary drivers may be installed to take advantage of extended functionality of your computer hardware" or something similar, and the reverting to the current text when at least one driver is installed?
