This is an absurd discussion and takes Ubuntu to a level of a playschool. This is my opinion. Why?? Here only two justifications. For more discussing please contact me per mail or in the forum
1.Because the new (old) splash is (was) art. And art has (must) to been free. This is the granted right of an free society. 2.If this splash shows an phallic symbol, we have to remember that such an symbol is not mandatory pornographic or (read in a forum) "gay". In fact it is an symbol of force and fecundity and this for more than one century. Rather, is Ubuntu not equipped with force and fecundity in the sense of technical evolution??? So, nobody has to be embarrassed about, I think. Least of all the people who rule out things like "Thank you for made my son gay". So please bring the artwork back and let us be free!!
