Hello, I might have a similar problem. Up until two days ago, I was
able to access my hidden wifi network protected by WEP. Now I cannot
connect, even though the nm applet reports other networks (none open so
cannot try).

My network appears in the list but when I try to connect, I cannot.

I do not know if this problem is due to a new kernel, a problem with the
broadcom source code, the nm-applet, or a problem with blacklisting of
the module, but I am willing to help.

Knoppix Adrienne also has this problem with Broadcom-Sta and I've
notified Klaus Knopper about this.
