unduplicated the issue in question until it is confirmed that is a
duplicate. see bug 333314 for further discussion on the matter.
i'd like to close the upstream task as well, because the issue seems to
be resolved in ubuntu and there is no further information attached to
the upstream task. i guess it is resolved there too / nothing has to be
done there.
