Hi Benoit, Thanks again for your interest, Sarah's comments fixed the wireless connection problem on my Dell. I did see that although (when it was broken) I could choose the ESSID when I then listed the wireless properties it gave ESSID as nothing, no value. I don't know what that means or if it's significant. Best regards /Melvyn
