Bug is still exist in Lucid beta: openoffice.org-kde 1:3.2.0-4ubuntu3 on some situations, for example, when filename contain dots:
How to reproduce: 1. Open Writer, create new file, type something. 2. Press File - Save 3. Type "document_ver_1.2", check that field "Automatic select filename extension (.odt)" is selected. 4. Press Save button. After that you will see file "document_ver_1.2" file without extension.
