I think my bug might well be a duplicate of #373680 and #460886 I didn't get the point, whether this is a NetworkManager bug, or an ath9k bug, or both combined. There were several assertions saying 'it should be fixed with next kernel release', but as to now (2010-04-07), on lucid beta, using linux-backports-modules-wireless-2.6.32-19.9, the problem persists for me.
