It works with 3.6, I can garantee that, I use it everyday.

The upstream webserver seems offline, but I uploaded an updated version :
http://mentors.debian.net/cgi-bin/sponsor-pkglist?action=details;package=deejayd

(I maintain the package in Debian)

Let me reformulate my question : Is there way I can ensure the source
package works well in both Debian and Ubuntu, something like Depends:
firefox | iceweasel ? Are there any good practices? Somthing to prevent
manual work for Ubuntu integration?
