Public bug reported: Booting to the livecd on Asus K8N4E-Deluxe motherboard with noapic, acpi=off, and pci=nommconfig results in no mouse use at desktop. Booting without those arguments causes X to crash with a "Device not found" error. Changing driver from ATI to radeon or vesa doesn't fix the problem. Thanks for your help. I have tried both a USB mouse and a PS/2 mouse, both work in windows and the USB mouse works on a completed Edgy install. I need to use the mouse to check if the machine's nic is supported out of box. The live cd is an edgy 6.10 cd.
