Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Changing from none to normal visual effects crashes gnome-appearance-properties
on Ubuntu Lucid 10.04 when "Keep settings" is selected. And if none of the
buttons "Keep settings" and "Use previous settings" are pressed and the
countdown times out, both windows becomes gray as seen in the attached screen
shot.
This bug can be triggered every time the procedure is repeated.
Attached below are two screen shot of how it looks when the program freezes.
The following is logged into jockey.log when triggering the bug:

This is a regression from Ubuntu Karmic 9.10 where this did not occur.
