Can't say anything about dapper, as I upgraded to edgy long ago. On
edgy (with fglrx installed and listed in MODULES in /etc/acpi-support),
hibernate is completely hopeless (the hibernation process seems to get
wedged) and sleep only "sorta works." If my laptop is not in its dock,
I can sleep and resume it, except that the trackpad is unresponsive
after resume. If the laptop is in its advanced mini-dock (with USB and
ethernet connected), it doesn't work (I can't get it to sleep at all
IIRC, but to try it I would have to risk losing this comment).
