Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mountall
While trying out various versions of the not-quite-working-yet fglrx driver in Lucid, I get a strange side effect: mounting of one or two file systems consistently fails, whenever I try to boot with X configured to use the broken driver. These are btrfs file systems, if it matters. The whole thing is very strange, but reproducible (with some pain). Could an early X crash somehow backfire at mountall through Plymouth or something and make mounts fail? That, or some even stranger kernel interaction, are the only models I can come up with for what is going on. What logs should I be looking at? (Maybe the new fglrx version released yesterday will actually work, so I may need to get any debug info soon, I guess.) ** Affects: mountall (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Mountall fails following early X server crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/561359 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
