** Description changed:

I'm triying to install the Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy live cd, but i recive this
  message:

/bin/sh:can't access tty; job control turned off
  (initramfs)

This cd was tested in other pc, and worked fine.

I've look in forums and manuals, and found some hints, but never worked
  for me.

CRTL+D; same error message, if CTRL+D again, says:

  Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init
