On my system, the totem package installed is: 1.41-0ubuntu4, which is retained, the update package is 1.4.3-0ubuntu1. My totem-xine-firefox-plugin currently installed is 1.4.1-0ubuntu4 (the same as totem-xine package). I haven't updated this package since I don't want to have broken packages, I hope my initial bug description is more clear.
