Forget about Openoffice, Openoffice can change font settings after
relogin, that's fine by me.

Other apps (all KDE/Qt apps, Firefox) are not affected by that change
even after relogin (restart). Resulting in a mix of different fonts on
my desktop when I'm NOT using only GTK/Gnome apps. And honestly - I
don't see any simple way to change that (as a simple user). I could edit
fonts.conf or similar file to set the fonts globally (set the same
values as I put in gnome-appearance-propertis - hinting, smoothing,
etc.) but that's not a way for unexperienced user. Do you remember
"linux for human beings"? ;))
