I've same problem since migrate to 10.04 with Evolution 2.28.3. I back- up all data from Evolution 2.28.1 in last 9.10 machine, I bring .tar.gz archive to a new machine with 10.04 and Evolution 2.28.3 and start import process wich finish correctly. When I start Evolution pop3 message downloading freeze! I've a little "breeze" reintalling all the package related with evolution from Synaptic; but when I turn on laptop pop3 downloading message is freeze again...
