I can also report that it's still not working with 11. One thing I did notice is that amixer is not trying to configure my Realtek ALC861 but "Generic 11c1 Si3054", which I think (I could well be mistaken) is my modem. I don't know anything about sound in linux, so apologies if that's normal.
