Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: plymouth

Confirmed on several different machines :

Since a couple weeks or so (from 2010/04/16) with the latest rounds of
Lucid Beta updates, Plymouth shows a "new" undesired behaviour :

- At each and every boot it displays the "Your disk drives are being
checked - press C to cancel" etc. message, even though fsck is not
actually running (except for checking that drives don't need fsck ;-)

- This message stays displayed until KDM kicks in.

- I would call this both "useless visual pollution" and a regression
also, because usplash didn't do that, and previous plymouth version
(before updates) didn't do that either.
