Public bug reported:

I have booted Feisty Fawn Herd 5 LiveCD and install
subtitleeditor (0.12.4) package from repository, in SubtitleEditor
I want to open subtitle file... the open dialog contains the character
encoding chooser but there was only these items:
 * Autodetect
 * Western (ISO-8859-15)
 * UTF-8
There are not codings like WIndows-1250 or ISO-8859-2 there that I wish to
use...

Note 1: This works Ok in Edgy with DEBUNTU repository
http://repository.debuntu.org/ (which has subtitleeditor 0.13package included)
 but I don't know if it solved in 0.13 or there is another problem in Herd 5
Note 2: But I was able to add new character encodings in Gedit in Herd 5, so it
does not seem to be system-wide problem
Note 3: I cannot test it on HDD-installed Feisty Herd 5, because installation
hangs during manual partitioning stage...

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
