Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: indicator-applet

In Lucid (since Alpha 2) the xchat tray icon will either not appear on
starting xchat or disappear while still using xchat.

Opening Xchat Perference's, under Chatting / Alerts -
unchecking/rechecking "Enable system tray icon" has no effect.

The problem seems to be intermittent in nature, sometime it will work
fine - most of the time it does not.

Not sure if this should be filed under indicator-applet or xchat sorry,
indicator-applet was suggested in #ubuntu+1 so that's what I went with.
