** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: apt

"apt-cdrom add" does add the CD to sources.list and updates correctly,
but trying to install anything from the CD fails, stating that it can't
  find it.

Furthermore, the "Add CD-ROM" button in Software Sources always spits out
"E:Failed to mount the cdrom.", regardless of whether the CD is already mounted
or not, or if there is even one in the drive.
