Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubuntu-restricted-extras

Running Kubuntu 10.04 beta 2

I suspect that this is a repository problem. The "kubuntu-restricted-
extras" package listed in the repositories refuses to install in the
Software Management tool. Clicking on Apply to install the package
simply refreshes the package list and unchecks the restricted-extras
package.
