> Step 1: zcat /boot/initrd.img-$(uname -r) | cpio -t | grep plymouth > 36924 blocks Ok, this shows definitively that you don't have plymouth in your initramfs, so for whatever reason you are *not* using the workaround from bug #540801. So this *is* the same as bug #540801, the only outstanding question is why the workaround didn't take effect for you. What is the output of 'uname -r' by itself? What is the output of 'ls /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d'? And of 'cat /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/splash'? ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 540801 X server starts before Plymouth, or a very short time after (no or brief splash) -- splash fails to show during boot (intel) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/555214 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
