Public bug reported: When pressing '(' to get a completion proposal Eclipse crashes. From my findings it seems like Cairo is to blame. Here is the error message:
The program 'Eclipse' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'RenderBadPicture (invalid Picture parameter)'. (Details: serial 67005 error_code 158 request_code 148 minor_code 7) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) And here are the relevant bugs in Eclipse and Debian: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=571192 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=309718 I hope you get the time to fix this before Lucid goes LTS. ** Affects: cairo (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Eclipse crashes when hit on a proposal https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/567837 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
