I have a DVD which, under Karmic, caused Ogmrip to behave the way described above. After upgrading to Lucid today, with Ogmrip 0.13.4-0ubuntu1, I was able to rip the disc without the problem of a huge log file being generated.
The rip seems to have resulted in a misscaled copy though: I've set the maximum resolution to 320×240 in the profile I used, yet Ogmrip generated a 720×567 MP4. Therefore I'm not yet sure if the above issue has been fixed in Lucid's version of Ogmrip, or if the success I had with this rip was merely due to Ogmrip not doing any scaling for some reason.
