Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy
I start Empathy and it automatically connects to all my accounts. My status is set to the generic "Available". I create a custom status message for "Available", and it works well. Then I completely quit Empathy. A while later I re-start Empathy, and my status has been reset back to the generic "Available". The same is true if I set my Empathy status to the generic "Away". If I quit and re-start Empathy, my status is reset to the generic "Available". The latter may be a "feature" (i.e. a specific design decision), but the former situation definitely seems like a bug. What I expect to happen: My custom status message is preserved, even if I quit Empathy. This is especially true if I created a "Saved Preset" custom message.
