Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ureadahead
When removing ureadahead using sudo apt-get purge ureadahead ubuntu-minimal is removed. Due to this, removing ureadahead will disallow the user to reboot into ubuntu, and a blinking underscore cursor will present itself on next boot. Is this intentional? Because previous ubuntu versions can even remove sreadahead without problems like this. I don't like ureadahead taking up all my RAM, and I don't login fast enough to take advantage of ureadahead anyway. ** Affects: sreadahead Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ureadahead (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: sreadahead Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ubuntu-minimal package is REMOVED when removing ureadahead https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/568762 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
