Binary package hint: openoffice.org

determine the baseline CPU usage by process Xorg (here, 10%)

open a blank OpenOffice Calc spreadsheet

select a cell; the cell border becomes highlighted with a blinking
dotted line

the CPU usage by process Xorg increases to 20%

selecting a group of cells (so that the blinking border perimeter is
longer, see attached screenshot) can bring the Xorg CPU usage as high as
60%
