Since this does not appear to be a problem in Firefox, I'm removing Firefox from the report and will add a tag showing that this needs to be reassigned.
At this point there is no need for you to remove your Nvidia driver, but could you please let us know what version of the Nvidia driver you are using? I am also using Lucid with an Nvidia graphics card, so I can try to reproduce your bug on my machine. Also, I have seen other reports that are similar to this, except the behavior occurs when Visual Effects are on.
