I can confirm this bug on Ubuntu 10.04 RC with all updates (up to April 24) on the motherboard M2N-MX. The suggested workaround works for me flawlessly. I changed the script a bit and through experimentation I found out suspend works perfectly just by disabling the OHCI ports. That way, only USB 1.1 devices need to be disconnected during suspend, so devices that are connected to USB 2.0 ports like external hard drives will still be mounted after resume. The modified workaround is attached, if you're using the original please try this one as it may be less intrusive.
** Attachment added: "Just unbinding the OHCI ports before suspend and re-binding them on resume is enough to fix this." http://launchpadlibrarian.net/45228269/05_unbindUSB -- Immediate resume on suspend caused by ehci_hcd module https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/289252 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
