Public bug reported: The shout2send plugin does not work. If I try to send a file with gstreamer to send to an icecast2 server, like so:
gst-launch filesrc location=audio/boogie_boarder/pizza_hero/Sparks.mp3 ! decodebin ! audioconvert ! lame name=enc ! shout2send mount=stream.mp3 port=8000 password=00tspdmn ip=192.168.2.99 the stream does not play. The icecast2 error.log shows: [2010-04-24 13:22:15] WARN source/get_next_buffer Disconnecting source due to socket timeout The bug appears to be in the shout2send plugin that is provided in lucid (10.04). If I replace the plugin (/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstshout2.so) with the libgstshout2.so file from karmic (9.10), then stream plays with no errors (no socket timeout). This bug is 100% repeatable on my system.
