Just finished testing the latest ISO QA (20100427) and this bug is still standing.
Since Lucid will be released in a few hours, here is my workaround to get it booting: Update your boot-options to the following (F6 in the menu of your live-CD or "e" in your grub2 installation or add it in /etc/default/grub) Original: "quiet splash" Updated: "quiet nouveau.blacklist=true" This will give you a nice and stable black screen with only some basic output during booting and as soon as you reach you login-manager or desktop you have a complete, and correct graphical interface. From that point on you can choose to install the proprietary drivers or continue without using all the features of your graphical card. -- nouveau out of sync LVDS (basically card not supported) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/539878 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
