apport information

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: plymouth

When rebooting into Lucid after running 9.10 my startup process is a follows:
  1. Screen stays with a blinking marker for a long while
  2. Fsck info is printed
  3. Plymouth TEXT splash flashes VERY briefly

--> 4. Screen shows a distorted image containing elements from desktop
  of prior 9.10 session

  5. Desktop starts normally
  6. On shutdown framebuffer flashes momentarily (either white or orange(!) on
black) and then the plymouth GRAPHICAL splash is seen.
