** Description changed: When rebooting into Lucid after running 9.10 my startup process is a follows: 1. Screen stays with a blinking marker for a long while - 2. Fsck info is printed - 3. Plymouth TEXT splash flashes VERY briefly + 2. Plymouth TEXT splash flashes VERY briefly --> 4. Screen shows a distorted image containing elements from desktop of prior 9.10 session 5. Desktop starts normally - 6. On shutdown framebuffer flashes momentarily (either white or orange(!) on black) and then the plymouth GRAPHICAL splash is seen. + 6.
