Christian, so far the mainline kernel 2.6.34-999 generic has connected the E620, at every boot. I think it would be useful for you to try this kernel too - Jeremy has put a link further up the page. Hopefully the developers can see what is in the kernel I am now using and what deficiencies are in the 'official' kernel and are able to fix it. Not sure what will happen when new 'official' kernels are released, but I can always reinstall this mainline one if necessary - I have made sure to save it so that I can reinstall it if needed.
