Arroccali, that is a very interesting observation. Frankly, I have never heard of such a port before, but I can imagine how that might effect things with regards to timings. Could you please upload the dmesg output that occurs when you attach the usb dongle to the special port? It might also be interesting to see if there are any dmesg output while the clicking and popping are occuring.
