Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Right click on APPLICATIONS -> EDT MENUS -> OTHER, Select THEME
INSTALLER......it is added to the Menu. But when I
Click on this selection, it does nothing. It does display an entry in the
bottom tool bar, but that small window closes and nothing
happens. The Launcher Properties shows that "gnome-appearance-properties -i
%u" will be executed and the Launcher's
name is "Theme Installer" with the COMMENT "Installs themes packages for
various parts of the desktop". Shouldn't something
happen when this is selected that could be detected??????

You shouldn't have any trouble duplicating the problem.
