Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Right click on APPLICATIONS -> EDT MENUS -> OTHER, Select THEME INSTALLER......it is added to the Menu. But when I Click on this selection, it does nothing. It does display an entry in the bottom tool bar, but that small window closes and nothing happens. The Launcher Properties shows that "gnome-appearance-properties -i %u" will be executed and the Launcher's name is "Theme Installer" with the COMMENT "Installs themes packages for various parts of the desktop". Shouldn't something happen when this is selected that could be detected?????? You shouldn't have any trouble duplicating the problem. ubu...@ubuntu:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Release: 10.04 ubu...@ubuntu:~$ ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: gnome-control-center 1:2.30.0-0ubuntu4 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-21.32-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-21-generic i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Fri Apr 30 21:13:26 2010 LiveMediaBuild: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release i386 (20100429) ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-control-center ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 lucid -- Theme Installer does nothing ........ https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572646 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
