Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pitivi
The environment is not correctly set up. When you run pitivi in a console, the error message reports <code> Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/pitivi", line 118, in <module> _run_pitivi() File "/usr/bin/pitivi", line 111, in _run_pitivi import pitivi.application as ptv ImportError: No module named pitivi.application </code> There is a work around. sudo gedit /usr/bin/pitvi Find the following line: LIBDIR = '/usr/lib' Below the line, add the following line: PYTHONPATH='/usr/lib/pitivi/python:/usr/share/doc/pitivi$ pitivi' Save the changes. Result: pitivi works from menu or command line.
