Public bug reported: I have a Dell Studio 17, and I'm using the open source drivers (xserver- xorg-video-radeon).
In Karmic, suspend/resume (from RAM) worked fine. After the upgrade to Lucid, I get a black screen after resuming. I have to turn the power off to get any response. I've attached the relevant parts of kern.log and pm-suspend.log (the suspend occurs at 09:49:19, the resume at 09:49:40. The only errors I can find are these lines in kern.log May 1 09:49:40 ryle kernel: [ 574.836534] [drm:r600_ring_test] *ERROR* radeon: ring test failed (scratch(0x8504)=0xCAFEDEAD) May 1 09:49:40 ryle kernel: [ 574.836537] [drm:r600_resume] *ERROR* r600 startup failed on resume ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- resume from suspend produces black screen (regression on Lucid with Dell Studio) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572892 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
