Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace
In Karmic/KDE 4.3 it was possible to have a panel with menu/launcher icons in size 48x48 and a two row systemtray. When I made the panel higher the launcher icons nonetheless kept their size of 48x48 (instead of increasing their size further). But now in Lucid/KDE 4.4.2 the launcher icons in the panel even behave worse and *shrink* when I make the panel higher. The icons don't reach full 48x48 size anymore as it seems and at the point where you make the panel that high that the systemtray gets two rows the launcher icons jump from roundabout size 44x44 to roundabout size 32x32. With Lucid/KDE 4.4.2 it is not possible anymore to have a two row systemtray and at the same time big enough launcher icons in the panel. Especially for not eagle eyed people using high display resolutions that's unpleasant. Besides it is illogical to shrink the icons when the panel gets higher. And when you get the maximum height of the launcher icons the systemtray wastes horizontal space because lining its icons up in one row. And it looks ugly when you have a one row systemtray with a lot of unused space above an below the icons. As it looks ugly (with a two row system tray) to have small launcher icons with a lot of unused space above and below the icons. ** Affects: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - launcher icons in panel shrink on making the panel higher + Lucid: launcher icons in panel shrink on making the panel higher -- Lucid: launcher icons in panel shrink on making the panel higher https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/573643 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase-workspace in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
