Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 10.04 moves the window controls to the left side of the window,
which is fine and is a valid design choice for the theme.

However there a great number of a existing Linux users that wish to
update all their software whilst retaining an OS layout that they are
familiar to. Therefore, the gnome-appearance-properties dialog should
allow the user to choose what side of the window the window buttons are
placed on.

I believe this represents the best of both worlds: new users get a
consistent theme and existing users can keep it how they are used to it.
They should not have to resort to third party blogs and tools.

** Affects: control-center (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
