Sorry, looks like the wireless getting connected is just a coincidence - sometimes, it happens at a slightly different time.
Two other things I noticed when the brightness events finally get processed: 1) Mouse pointer moves to the top left corner of the screen. (It always ends up there when the laptop wakes up, then moves there again.) 2) /var/log/syslog gets these messages: May 2 13:28:48 dima-macbook acpid: client connected from 1009[0:0] May 2 13:28:48 dima-macbook acpid: 1 client rule loaded May 2 13:28:48 dima-macbook acpid: client connected from 1009[0:0] May 2 13:28:48 dima-macbook acpid: 1 client rule loaded -- Can't adjust screen brightness until wireless is connected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572094 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdeplasma-addons in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
