I have a eee pc 1005 HA-PU (same bluetooth adapter?) and my bluetooth adapter is also not discovered in Lucid. It says "your computer does not have any bluetooth adapters plugged in" in gnome-bluetooth. Output of $ hcitool dev Devices:
