Clean 10.04 final release installation, same problem: breaks rmagick gem. Solved somehow installing the debian unstable packages librmagick-ruby_2.13, now rmagick works but obviously I'm now getting problems with missing dependencies with every apt-get operation. I think fixing this bug is very important for any ruby and ruby on rails development, and for using ubuntu to host such web applications.
